As I was looking for an application that will allow me to take photos and upload them directly to my facebook and also to tag some pictures like the one I use to have in my Android htc magic , I came cross this new app “ Nokia messaging for Social networking “ the application is still in beta ,i have been using it for almost a week now and its working really fine on my e72 expt sometime its little bite slow . For now the application supports face book and Twitter but nokia claims it will be supporting other communities soon.
The application comes preinstalled in some of the new nokia devices like the C3 - C6 - E5 and the Nokia n8 .

Egypt bans Skype & VoIP services on mobile internet connection .

Fring & Nimbuzz are my most TOP favorite application that I use all time to keep in touch with my friends & family anywhere anytime , also they have become very popular in Egypt for the past years . Fring & Nimbuzz don’t offer only free VOIP but it also lets users communicate with friends on popular networks ( like MSN Messenger®, GoogleTalk™, AIM®, ICQ® , Facebook® & Twitter over their mobile phone's internet connection and recently you can also make video calls .

Now I cant log any of them on my phone on all three mobile networks ( Mobinil , Etisalat , Vodafone ) those rumors have come true . Egypt already took action and banned Skype,so even if you are having your USB modem connected to your laptop or netbook with a very high internet speed up to 24 mbps like some of the mobile operators offer but you will not be able to access your skype or Fring , Nimbuzz or your Gizmo5 anymore .
The ban takes place because the Egyptian law requires international calls to pass through a network of state-controlled, fixed-line monopoly Telecom Egypt.

Egypt's ban comes after the United Arab Emirates said earlier in the month it would not give Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) licenses to international companies such as Skype.

**Solving the ‘update error’
Oky while I was installing Numbizz (Version 0.9.1 ) on my Nokia N95 I got this Error message ( Update error ) and the installation shuts down .
To solve this Problem go to the Application manager and remove the ‘APSServer’. After that, the installation of Nimbuzz should succeed and the APSServer will be re-installed.
Its not really a big Problem and its very easy to solve so no need to worry , I hope they would fix it with the next update

Google maps 2.0 is the most recent version of Google Maps for Mobile for Symbian os S60 3rd edition smartphones , the first thing I did noticed when I was installing it on my nokia n80 and n95 and my Friend’s e61i is that is not a java application what i was downloading and installing is a .SISx application . The Second thing is the new my location feature that kind-of shows “You Are Here” your current location by using cell tower ID information to tell mobile phone users where they are and what destinations are nearby .Your location may not be exact, but it should be pretty close.. I guess this is very good for people who do not have a GPS in there handsets .
In addition to My Location, Google Maps 2.0 also offers real-time traffic information, detailed search and directions, and integration with many internal and some external GPS accessories. The application really rocks and I think like google earth its important for lots of people

I have started using Live Messenger for the first time on my Nokia e61 it was the best and I really preferred it much more than any other messenger application since its free and its got all the Windows live messenger features you need like Capturing photos from your camera and sending them , sending photos and files , and Voice Clip Chat .. etc …
Then it turned to be not free and only 2 month trial .
Lately I have been reading that Nokia and Microsoft have partnered to provide customers with a new suite of Windows Live services specifically designed for Nokia devices .

Its like my dreams has come true , the lack of the camera in the Nokia e61 was really killing me .
After all it’s the most perfect smart phone I have ever got with all this really cool features , like a big display , WiFi , Bluetooth , and its very fast net Browser , the Email Solution connecting to your Personal and business emails , SIP ……………. And lots and lots More .. people do have the Nokia e61 know what am talking about .
I even tried to compare it with other business Smartphones like the Nokia 9500 & 9300i and I found the e61 was much better and faster ..
It would have been the most perfect phone ever if it only had a 1.3 mega pixel camera on it & the a small front cam for the 3G video calls .
Any way I have heard about this New NOKIA E62i , I really don’t know if its really true or just a rumor , but I have seen some photos and I guess that makes it kind of real .
The New NOKIA E62i looks kind of like the e61 but only much slimmer and they did replace the Joy stick by the joypad which is stronger, durable and quite better solution in my personal opinion, also they have added few more face buttons .
The most interesting part is the camera which I really hope it would be a 2 or 3 mega pixel and I have they will add more features .
I wont be talking more about its Functionality cause till now no one knows nothing .. but here are some photos of the New Nokia e62i …

I have been searching and studying for almost a week now on how to use and setup the VoiP features on my Nokia e61 and I have found that there are lots of ways to do that.
I have picked up these three most easy and common ways:

1-SipGate :

You will need to Create a SIPGATE account to get a sip number .
After you have created and confirmed your account Click Here and log in to your SipGate account to configure your Nokia E60/61 for your sipgate account. .
This is the easiest way .

First you will need to Create a Gizmo Project account

Here is how to configure your Nokia e61\e60 :

Go to Tools - Settings - Connection -SIP settings - Create the
following profile

Profile Name: sipphone
Service Profile: IETF
Default Access point: (your WLAN AP name )
Public user name: sip:1747xxxxxxx@proxy01.sipphone.com
Use Compression: No
Registration: " When needed "
Use Security: No

Proxy Server: sip: proxy01.sipphone.com
Realm: proxy01.sipphone.com
User Name: 1747xxxxxxx
Password: [You SIPPhone password]
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: TCP
Port: 5060

Then go to connection - Internet Tel. Settings -
Create a new profile for "sipphone"(1747xxxxxxx), name it "sipphone"
In Connectivity - Internet tel. - Preferred profile - Choose "sipphone"

Then go back to Connection - SIP settings - sipphone and change the Registration from ( when needed ) to ( Always on ) now your phone will register to the
Gizmo network .

*If you don’t know your Sip number that starts with 1747 xxxxxx open the Gizmo Project program on your p.c click on edit -> profile .

Oky I have tried that my self and it worked really fine , it took me a long time to configure the ports to be used in my windows X.P & the Bluetooth & updated my bluetooth driver . & it worked on my 6680 .
P.S : useing internet over bluetooth is much slower than the WiFi & its only for 10 meters range .

What You Need Is:
A PC with internet connection
A bluetooth adapter with the drivers installed
M-Router
Gnubox for Nokia
*Make Sure Your Bluetooth is working
Configuring m-Router:
-Start Install the m-Router and complete it.
-Now open the m-Router and click on Advanced Settings
-Click on the View button under Additional COM Ports
-Select the COM Port used by your Bluetooth device and click on
-Click OK after setting it
-Look for Additional COM Ports under connectivity methods and expand it to make
sure your COM port is there.Then Click Close
Gnubox for Nokia Configuration:
-Install Gnubox on Your Nokia Phone
-Go to Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Access points -> Go to Options -> New
access point -> Use default settings->Change the connection name to Bt then save it.
-Run Gnubox and go to Options -> Install -> Create Records
-there will be something like this *ISP ‘Bt’ not found* and you must exit ur Gnubox.
-Run Again Gnubox and Go to Options -> 2box Bluetooth -> Serial port (The phone
will search for Bluetooth devices, select you PC and click OK)
-Go to Options -> Install -> change default AP to set Bt as your default Access Point
-Then go to Options -> Debug -> Bring up IF (Sometimes Stuck)
-Then the phone will connected to your pc and show a message saying “Connection
Open”
Then You Can Browse The Internet.
*Download m-Router & Gnubox Here .( here u will find the m-Router application for your p.c & Gnubox for your Nokia Symbian phone , & a PDF that will help you . note that i used the Gnubox for the for the 7610 on my 6680 .)

FExplorer v1.16

Fexplorer is a very popular freeware 3rd party manger application that allows you to manipulate any files in you mobile , you can use it to Cut / Copy / Paste functions through the directories and much more , you can also send files via Bluetooth or infrared .
I have been using FExplorer for years now , to me FExplorer is the most important application on my phone , with great use & every time I get a new phone , first thing I do it installing FExplorer on it ..

Whats new With the FExplorer v.1.16
Oky they have done quite lots of improvement here , I have been using Fexplorer for years now ,
FExplorer v1.16 Full Improvements lists :

- Shortcut ‘8’ has been added to rename a file .
- It’s now possible to choose with which installed application a file must be open (‘open with …’ funcation) , this new settings is saved from one to another session of FExplorer , you can now choose your favorite mp3 player .
- When a file is in used by the os (locked ) , it’s now possible to copy it .
- The settings files can now be placed everywhere ( not only in the directory of FExplorer ) even in another ‘drive’ , this allows to put FExplorer in EEPROM ( for the siemens .. for example ..)
- It’s now possible to set (in the settings ) a password to enter in FExplorer , if this password it left blank , no password is required to run EExplorer , this password can have a length if 20 characters but it’snot encrypted .
- In the settings , it’s now possible to choose if the system and hidden files must be displayed or not ( in one time )
- In the settings , it’s now possible to choose between the ‘ true icon ‘ associated with a file or some built-in icons ( app/sounds/pictures ) , this increase drastically the display of contents of a directory when there are a lot of files
- In some new phones ( like the 6680 .., .. ) the icons ( of the files tasks , processes .. ) are not displayed correctly , this is fixed .

* The following keypad shortcuts are available:

<1> Copy . <2> show path . <3> page up . <4> cut . <6> top of list . <7> past . <9> page down . <*> root dir . <0> mark/unmark . <#> file properties .
The [Options] menu contains settings and commands, so don't worry if you don't remember all the shortcuts the first time you use the software.

i have been trying FExplorer v.1.16 for more than a week now on my Nokia 6680 and i didnt find any bugs at all , its working really fine , i really like it more than the early 1.15 version .
FExplorer v.1.16 is only available in English language till now but if you wonna download FExplorer in any other Languages you can get the early V1.15 .
